Concussion sold to Radius-TWC in seven-figure deal

January 22, 2013

RADiUS-The Weinstein Company has acquired North American rights to "Concussion" at the Sundance Film Festival. The film centers on Abby (Robin Weigert), a middle-aged woman who moves to Manhattan and takes on a double life as a high-end escort.

"Concussion" sold for seven figures; this is the second big buy for boutique label RADiUS at the festival, following its purchase of opening night film "20 Feet From Stardom." The company has slated a fall 2013 release for the film.

In addition to Weigert ("Deadwood"), "Concussion" stars Maggie Siff, Jonathan Tchaikovsky, Julie Fain Lawrence, Emily Kinney and Laila Robbins.
