An award-winning Director of Photography, David Kruta most recently added the SoCal Film Fest Best Cinematography award to his credentials. The son of Czech political refugees, David’s lifetime has taken him through a variety of cultures, experiences and locations spanning the globe, and naturally bringing him to New York City to fulfill his passion for photography and storytelling.
David’s career in the arts included not only still and moving pictures, but also the culinary arts, graphic design and fine art; All of which have inspired him to create cutting-edge visuals in his pursuit for the perfect image
David has shot short films, commercials, documentaries, fashion and music videos and feature films. This talented Director of Photography is the visual architect behind the recently announced 2013 Sundance Competing feature film, “Concussion,” starring Robin Weigert and Maggie Siff.
David has shot for a an extensive list of clients such as Ford Models, Starbucks, Gillette, Hearts on Fire, PUMA, Phish, Clinique, Snuggle, Oppenheimer Funds, Bose, Good Neighbor Pharmacy, Hyundai, Hasbro, PBS, Dunkin Donuts, Red Lobster, Margaritas and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and is always on the lookout for new and interesting projects.
